Caroline Rosser: 1/5 Stars 04/04/2018 Bush cooker I bought a bush cooker from Argos in April/may 2016. I can’t give exact date as no longer have the bank account that I used to buy it from but the Bush cooker type is BDFD60B, serial number 160200122 or 460200122 I can’t quite tell from the picture the cooker repair man gave me. Basically the top oven selector switch is broken as is the thermostat in the main oven. It has been like it for 7 months. The reason I only now bring it to light is I have been away from home as I lost both my parents in that time so it wasn’t a priority back in September when it happened. I couldn’t get the grill to work, the oven burns everything even on the lowest heat it’s completely useless!! It ran out of the 1 year warranty last May 2017 but surely these things shouldn’t have gone wrong with it only being 16 months old at the time?? The guy who came to look at it for me says he cannot get parts anywhere for it but frankly I don’t see why I should be buying them & paying for these repairs on such a young appliance? I’ve not heard that this brand isn’t the best and other orioles have broken too!! My family are now back at home & I cannot cook using the oven, it cost me £400 at the time & after loosing my parents I’ve been out of work and I cannot afford not should I have to , to replace these parts or get a new oven. So I’d like to ask for someone to contact me okease to be able to help me resolve this matter as soon as possible. These faults should not have happened so soon??? Argos has not yet responded. C h: 1/5 Stars 25/01/2020 Repair I Brought a Lenovo E10 tablet on 30th of may 2019 it broke so returned and got an exchange on the 7th of September 2019 had to return again as the replacement had gone wrong they would not replace it and sent it for repair that was on 6th of December 2019. I have had to go to the shop four times as they do not answer the Telephone it's now 25th of January 2020 and I am having to wait for the repair to be done. Very upset with Sainsbury's who own this company and will not be using them again. I would advise other shoppers and user of this site to stop Shopping their I have been told nothing but lies every time you go you get a different story. Argos has not yet responded. Neil Cowie: 1/5 Stars 04/08/2016 Parts missing from packaging I took deliver of a new wardrobe on Wednesday the 3rd of August and when I went to put it together and checking all of the parts, the magnets for the top of the doors were missing from the pack. The order Number was 214169779 Argos has not yet responded. Glenn Thatcher: 1/5 Stars 07/12/2019 Washing machine breakdown I bought a washing machine and one week out warranty it broke down suspect bearing collapse phoned Argos to get it sorted because out of warranty have to pay I was told I informed them covered by sales of goods act and asked speak to manager after going through it with him he said phone number for engineer to do report and they will look at it free of charge I checked this with him 3 times and he confirmed free of charge so when I phoned to book engineer I was told have pay said I was told I wouldn't so they told me Argos have to tell them to book it free so phoned Argos again and was told had to pay informed them I spoke to manager she said will email him when got phone call later that evening I spoke to manager and he said that other manager emailed them and said he never said it free I informed manager to check recording of my call with other manager as that will prove he said it free . manager said arrange with service department for engineer to come out well when come out he said bearing and spider housing broke and made report when I phoned Argos they looked into it and they said engineer report said it been fixed after arguing with them for half hour they said it will go to head office to be looked into and hear next week not holding my breath this been going on over two weeks now and still no washing machine Argos are incompetent useless and liers won't ever buy from them again Argos has not yet responded. Allure Jason: 1/5 Stars 14/12/2018 Argos’ customer service is trash Argos is one of the worst stores to shop with, ordered a ps4 bundle on black Friday, spent an hour to get to that specific store but couldn't get the item because the staff entered my mobile number wrong, she decided to canceled my item straight away without asking any further questions. I showed my confirmation email, personal ID and also bank card, and they had no reasons to cancel my order but they did it anyway, went for the complaint, they decided to ignore my complaints and would not give me any reasons for why cancelling my order, Argos'e customer service is 100% trash, don't recommend!
