Paul French: 1/5 Stars 22/05/2018 It’s a scam !!! This is a scam.... took out the £ 1.00 trial membership. Couple of days later told my wife that I had trialled this and she said we already had it and she paid for it each year. Called Tastecard and cancelled it couple of days later. Today received emails from Tastecard and Paypal saying I was being charged 34.99 renewal. Called them to say I had already cancelled it and they basically said hard luck... Dont get duped into the trial as all they are trying to get is your credit card details so they can automatically take your money even if you try to cancel. Paypal just confirmed that the 34.99 was pre authorised 3 months ago. This is a scam plain and simple and my wife is just about to cancel her membership too. Tastecard has not yet responded. Darren McManus: 1/5 Stars 06/08/2019 Subscription Today I received an email to say I have re-subscribed ,which is weird considering I have never heard of this company I read the email to say I have paid 34.99 towards it which has been taken out of my bank account, i try to login with their website to be told i dont have an account Tastecard has not yet responded. Evey Henderson: 1/5 Stars 19/01/2020 Check check check before you buy! Check check check what you're buying. All the restaurants local to me offer the same discount via their own loyalty scheme or via Groupon. The cinema local to me is cheaper to book direct and the closest cinema where the 40% off deal applies is a 20 minute drive away, having booked a babysitter, it's annoying that someone has to not drink. So it doesn't work for us unless we're out of town, which is rare. Contacted customer service and they were going to kindly transfer the gift card into my name, so I could make better use of it (bought as a gift for my wife) and give me an extra three months. Lots of jumping through hoops later and emailing proof of posting the original card back, asked for the same details again etc and the card has been reissued with an extra 2 days on it. Hopeless! This card is for people who live in areas where restaurants and cinemas are expensive and don't offer deals already. So check your local area before you buy this. I can see it'd work for some folk who don't have time to look around and can make use of it but don't make the same mistake as me. Tastecard has not yet responded. Laura McLaughlin: 1/5 Stars 20/09/2018 Thieves I thought I had cancelled online after a trial where I realised the card was useless to me. Can’t be used on kids meals and hardly any of the plus offers are available in Scotland where I live. The majority of the restaurants aren’t available on a Saturday which is the day we usually go out to eat. I contacted them immediately when I saw the money had been taken from my account and explained the above. After several emails they accepted I can have little use from it but still point blank refused to refund me - despite me making it clear it was simply an error with me having thought I had completed the cancellation properly. Awful company. Awful customer service. At one point one of the customer services people said I have 2 young children too so completely understand! All they appear to understand is how to steal money from people’s bank accounts and then refuse to give it back when it’s clear it was a simple mistake. Why on earth would I buy a card that is of no use to me. They don’t care as long as they have their money. Tastecard has not yet responded. Kerry Welch: 1/5 Stars 25/10/2017 Renewing membership and taking the money without any correspondenCe. Tastecard renewed my membership without contacting me. I called to complain and was told that it was renewed on the 21/10/17 and that I had been sent an email reminder on 21/9/17. I never received an email, not even in my spam. I asked for a refund but they refused. Even though i have not even recieved a new card. The person I spoke to said it had been posted yesterday, which is 3 days after the expiry date of the old one.
